Hurricane Florence Relief
Hurricane Florence was an unprecedented storm for the Carolinas, causing severe damage and devastating flooding. The result was at least 39 deaths, more than $20 Billion of damage, and a long and slow recovery process ahead. But we’re already seeing so many great organizations and communities coming together to take the challenge head on.
One of those groups is the Foundation for the Carolinas Hurricane Florence Response Fund. FFTC will contribute millions of dollars to relief efforts. Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan recently donated $1 Million to the fund, and Julius Peppers of the Carolina Panthers recently established his own fund supporting the same cause with a $100,000 donation.
As native North Carolinians and an NC-based business with so many friends, family, and customers in the coastal towns of North and South Carolina, we feel compelled to support this effort in whatever small way we can.
That’s why we’re proud to announce that we’ll be donating 1% of all of our revenues from October, November, and December of 2018 directly to the FFTC Hurricane Florence Response Fund. We’re also going to kick-off that effort with an initial $500 donation to this fund.
If you’re like us, it can be difficult to decide exactly how you can best help with relief efforts. If you feel compelled and are able to contribute, we’d encourage everyone to consider contributing whatever amount you can to one of these causes:
Thank you to everyone for your support!
